With over 17 years of courtroom experience, including in both state and federal courts, Julia has become a prominent voice in the community, advocating for the civil and constitutional rights and well-being of the public. As a mother, Julia is deeply involved in the Kent County community and is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families. She is known for her integrity, honesty, and dedication to upholding the rule of law. Julia has represented clients from diverse backgrounds in a wide range of legal matters, including criminal defense, civil litigation, juvenile and family law. Julia has the knowledge and expertise necessary to be an effective 17th Circuit Court Judge. She is truly "trial tested," as for over 17 years she has represented hundreds of individuals in state and federal courts in over 75 jury trials.
Julia's dedication to justice extends beyond the courtroom both in her devotion to the local and state bar organizations, but also through volunteering in various projects throughout west Michigan serving the families and children of this community.
